Sony have called time on the PSP Go despite the fact that it only came out in October 2009, so what has been the downfall of this latest portable console and what is just around the corner to replace it?

However the main difference between the Go and other PSP models is that games are downloaded from Sony’s game store.

This means that you don’t have any hard copy of the games you want, as they are downloaded onto the console via the internet, with a game taking roughly half an hour to be ready to play.

In an age where even online video content such as Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer’s Afternoon Delights is available on demand and almost in an instant, this wait has proved too long.

The battery life for the Go has also been raised as an issue, with the battery only lasting three to four hours of solid gaming.

If you’re on a long car or train journey, four hours is simply not long enough and no doubt Sony will be looking to improve this in the future.

The price hasn’t helped matters either for gamers, as the Go was retailed £225 on its release, which is not much less than a PS3 console with extra PS3 accessories.

Sony Denies The Charges PlayStation Network Hack

Finally, it is worth mentioning the Cooler Master CM 690 gaming computer case. It costs just $90, which is a price which will blow much of its competition away; including its move expensive competitors. It comes with plently of space and ventilation, it supports as many as ten (yes, 10!) fans and it has eight expansion slots. And so at its fairly low price, it's difficult to say anything bad about it.

The New single player is great, you wont be disappointed. Graphics are awesome, and the backdrops are very nice eye candy. You can switch out your guns for different ones of your choosing when you come across certain "special crates" scattered around any given level, which is nice because that means you can switch up your play style when YOU want too. The single player campaign is short and sweet, the story doesn't grab you like MW2's, but enjoyable none-the-less.

Wow, this is different, there is a leveling up system which is similar to MW2, nothing as developed though, but there is enough there to keep you coming back for more and you do unlock different sights, guns, gadgets etc... Some are just for the particular class you use i.e - medic unlocks larger health packs, but others are more general and can be used for any class, i.e - heavy vehicle perks.

The first Battlefield Bad Company had 2 deal breakers for me. One was their crazy health system where you jam a needle into your stomach when your health got low, which of course is something you would have to do 50 times a match. The other was the lack of any kind of kill cam! It's no fun being sniped over and over again and having no idea where the sniper is when you re-spawn.

The maps are BIG. You don't run around a small little sandbox that has hills dividing it into separate sections that give it the impression of being bigger than it is, you run around a big map with distanced objective points. The weapons are varied, the classes are unique and all have a use in the chemistry of the team, and the game has a very balanced feel. One doesn't choose the most "powerful" class, they choose the one that they personally like the most and it all balances out from there. The game types remind me of BF2 for the PC.

They are polished, strategic, and rewarding. Where this game really shines is that the maps have vehicles. This means you can fly a helicopter to transport people from your main base to the other locations that you want to capture. You can also drive around in Hummers, or a tank. The tanks are powerful, but a smart player can spawn as the proper class and eliminate them. Why was Modern Warfare 2 considered a good game? What other online shooters did the 360 have? None really... that is why. Sure, Halo 3, Gears, to name a couple, but in terms of "gritty-realistic" online games, there weren't many. Now that this shooter has made its appearance on the 360, I don't think there will ever be any going back.

In addition to the story-driven single player campaign Arkham Asylum also contains various additional play modes.

These include an arcade styled combat mode where players accumulate points by engaging hordes of thugs in a hand to hand slugfest across a series of maps, in which Batman's physical strength and agility play a major role. The key here is to chain together as many attacks as possible due to the fact that with each successful combo players increase the point multiplier associated with their actions. The game also features a time-based stealth mode where players must hone their ability to strike silently from the shadows.

This gameplay, referred to as 'Invisible Predator' utilizes the Dark Knight's skill with gadgets like the grapple tool, batarang and explosives. These allow for vertical/horizontal mobility, the ability to quickly strike from above and at a distance and to take out enemies and create distractions, even through walls. But remember that Batman works solo and is not superhuman. Your enemies will congregate around trouble areas and work as a team against you, so you must be silent, plan your attacks wisely, strike quickly and discover the value of encouraging fear within enemies.

The sound on the other hand, is excellent. The game features awesome sound design, which is masterfully showcased throughout the Scarecrow segments of the game, and the sound effects as a whole are all very well done. What steals the show, though, are the voice talents. Much of the voice cast from Batman: The Animated series returns, and reprise their respective roles in top form, the standout being Mark Hamill's terrific performance as The Joker.

God of War III is a single player action game, exclusive to the PlayStation 3, and the final installment of the God of War trilogy. God of War III allows players on the PlayStation 3 to take on the climatic role of the ex-Spartan warrior, Kratos, as he treads through the intimidating heights of Mt. Olympus and the dark depths of Hades once more to seek revenge on those who have betrayed him. Armed with double-chained blades, as well a selection of new weapons, Kratos must take on mythology's darkest creatures while solving intricate puzzles throughout his merciless quest to destroy Olympus and the mighty Zeus himself.

God of War III features gameplay similar to that of previous installments. The player controls Kratos in a combination of combat, platforming, and puzzle game elements. Kratos's main weapons are the Blades of Exile, but for a short while at the beginning of the game, Kratos wields the Blades of Athena. Other new weapons include the Claws of Hades, the Nemesis Whip and the Nemean Cestus. This new weapon has the ability to smash through solid objects such as rocks and to plow through enemy shields, but has a slightly smaller range than the extending chains on the Blades of Exile.

The Claws of Hades and Nemesis Whip are similar to the Blades of Exile, both being used in the same fashion as the Blades of Exile, but with their own combos and magic abilities. Unlike the previous games in the series, the use of magic is limited to the weapon that is equipped. For example, the Army of Sparta is only available to use when Kratos is equipped with the Blades of Exile. The Golden Fleece, Icarus Wings, and Poseidon's Trident are kept from Kratos' adventure in God of War II. The Blade of Olympus, rather than being used as a regular weapon like the Blades of Exile, is used with the ability "The Rage of Sparta." The Rage of Sparta replaces Rage of the Titans from God of War II and Rage of the Gods from God of War.

When The Rage of Sparta is activated, Kratos wields the Blade of Olympus and becomes momentarily invincible. A new feature to God of War III is the use of items. These items act similarly to magic from the previous installments, but when they are used, the item bar is depleted. Furthermore, although the use of items is limited by the length of the item bar, the bar refills automatically, which is in heavy contrast to the previous games. Items that Kratos uses in God of War III include the Bow of Apollo, the Head of Helios, and Boots of Hermes.

On February 16, 2010, it was revealed that there are no true CGI cinematics in God of War III. SCEA says their in-game PS3 engine is plenty capable of blending the non-interactive sequences with the interactive, so there's basically no difference between the two. SCEA animator Bruno Velazquez said "that while the first two God of War titles certainly boasted CGI cinematics, there will actually be no true CGI in the third and final installment." He continues to say that "Everything you see is 100% in-game.

All camera features, including motion blur, run real-time in the cinematics and in-game. For this game we decided to try and blend in the cinematic sequences with the in-game sequences, so all models and assets are used for cinematics and for in-game." Later, he clarified that not all cutscenes are realtime and some were pre-rendered earlier. "When I mentioned that GOW3 has no CG, I was referring to the fact that we do not have pre-rendered scenes that were created outside of the game engine, like GOW 1 and 2. In GOW3 all the cutscenes are created using our in-game engine, however some scenes were just too epic to run real time and thus are recorded videos."

Therefore all of the in-game graphics are created using the God of War III engine, however, not all cutscenes are rendered in real-time. The God of War III engine is a new game engine that Sony Santa Monica has built from the ground up. According to Sony Santa Monica's director of technology Tim Moss, God of War III takes up 35 gigabytes on the Blu-ray disc it ships on. Each of the actors who portrayed the Ghostbusters in the films, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, and Ernie Hudson, lent their voices and likenesses to the in-game characters. The word wars between Sony and Microsoft just won't die down. With Microsoft's ragging about the PS3 games console's price, surely, people don't expect the Sony CEO, to turn the other cheek. It's pathetic to see two guys in power suits and power ties bicker like two kids in a playground. Sounds like they're fighting about who could spit the farthest. But since they has been hounding publicity, well, we might as well give shy a chance to defend PS3 games. No doubt that the statement made even hard-core Sony fans hesitant about buying a PS3.

After all, $600 is big money. It is a choice between two next-gen consoles and more gaming options or one PS3. Sony has to act; and the usually finally broke silence. In a recent press conference in Tokyo, Sony Corp's released a statement justifying the new Sony console's price. They claimed that the in buying a PS3 games console, the consumers are actually buying ability.

According to him, though the PS3 console is admittedly pricier than Microsoft's Xbox 360 or Nintendo's Wii, it provides users Blu-ray technology, touted to be the technology of the future. Further, if the new Sony console's performance reaches its full ability, users would benefit from higher technology and longer years of use. Microsoft also implied in his statement that Xbox 360s and the Wii's are cheaper because they are merely "transitional" consoles with inferior technology when compared to the futuristic PS3. However, market analysts and yours truly, seriously doubt this claim by them.

Times are hard, and people are sure to think about whether the PS3 games console deserves its price tag. This can look bad quickly for Sony because reviews show that PS3's Blu-ray-supported graphics are only equal to that of the cheaper consoles. If there are differences, these are highly indistinct, unless you want to spend game time analyzing the graphic pixels. Even the controller is deemed inferior to that of the PS1 from seven years ago.

In fact, the Wii sports a much better controller. Also, ability-based argument is stretched too thin and poorly supported. What if the new PS3 didn't reach its full ability? Then, there is the case of disappointed consumers whining over their loss. What about the long years of use? I doubt that five years would pass before the gaming giants come up with a new console prototype. Meantime, do you know what I'm excited to hear about? Peter Moore's response to Sony's "ability". Surely, Xbox can come up with something stronger than an argument based on "ability". PS3 games enthusiasts need more fuel for their cause. Find PS3 Newest Version with 120GB.

There are several "rune shops" in the Trader forum that can give players a good idea of what their runes are worth. It is important to do some research before you trade, as values are approximate and there can be some dishonest traders.

There is also now the ability to throw down smoke pellets to aid in the escape from large groups. NPC characters may also be able to help the player in battle. The health system has been adjusted to allow for a more dynamic and participatory experience, meaning that the "memory sync" system used in the first game only helps to recharge health up to a certain point. More grievous injuries will require a trip to one of the many street-side doctors, who can help return Ezio to full strength. As well as using water as a hiding place, the player can utilize a broader array of scenery as cover and can now blend in with any crowd rather than a group of scholars dressed in white, as in Assassin's Creed.

The game also contains three new multiplayer modes which utilize both Allied and Axis forces. StarCraft II, originally envisioned as a single game, was announced to be a trilogy at BlizzCon 2008, consisting of one game followed up later by two expansion packs, provisionally entitled Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void respectively. The single player campaign mode for the game and its expansions will each focus on telling the story of a specific faction, starting with the Terran at first, followed up by Zerg and Protoss factions in the expansions.

Producers and game developers struggle to make the next most addictive, mind-blowing and life-changing entertainment software the gaming community has ever seen. But with many titles and genres out there, not counting the independently created software, every new game appears to have been either a minor improvement or a cheap imitation of an already existing game. Most sequels are seen as futile attempts to bring popularity to franchise long-forgotten by gaming fans and enthusiasts. But this is where Starcraft 2 stands above the rest. The sequel to what, in fact, shaped and pioneered the real-time strategy gaming scenario and mechanics in computer gaming has met with nothing but anticipation, awe and gratitude.

With Blizzard games holy three: Diablo, Warcraft and Starcraft, the latter offers the best strategy game to PC users, utilizing real-time tactics and techniques in this military-inspired video game. Of course, riding on the success of another game is one thing, but this sequel tremendously builds on the success of its predecessor while retaining the components that have both annoyed and endeared video game players around the world.

Still with three clans or factions to choose from, each with their own strengths and weakness, no one group innately more powerful than any other group, yet each group possessing characteristics specific to their race. The game is very balanced, allowing for recognition not only of the clan chosen but also of the individual units belonging to the clan. Starcraft 2 is not only a sequel, it is a trilogy. It would consist of a single game, with two expansion packs. Each campaign builds up on the story of the original Starcraft, but from different perspectives. Also, each part involves a different style of game play. One campaign involves role-playing elements, while another campaign involves mercenary tactics. Still, another segment requires the appeal of the protagonist to democracy.

The in-game cinematics have been dramatically improved to enhance the gaming experience, providing a sense of continuity and fluidity between the storyline and the game play. Portrait animations of the units have been revamped, giving a more interactive feel to the game. The usual briefing area has been redecorated to appear interactive, with a haggard-looking Raynor, a character in the previous Starcraft, now as captain of the battlecruiser Hyperion.

In fact, although the story of the game is linear, the steps taken to finish the game are not. It has been designed to be totally non-linear, giving the player the chance to explore and choose what mission to play first, with each of the missions having its own consequences and happenings.
